Low water levels in some lagoons

Regarding lagoon water levels, during wet season  the lagoon levels are set to winter levels, and prior to a storm event, the level is lowered an additional 6 inches to allow more room in the lagoons for stormwater runoff.    The incoming storm scheduled to hit Thursday evening is forecasted to bring in several inches of rain and continue through the end of next week. In some shallower areas of the lagoon system, lowering the water level by 6 inches may expose a portion of the beach.
