Lagoon #3 between Willow St and Park St (across from the street from the South Shore shopping center) has toxic algae. The City will post signs there. Lagoon #3 is the smallest and shallowest of the lagoons, which means the water in that lagoon heats up more in warm weather and is more prone to developing toxic algae. The HOA and City have plans to dredge the shallowest (East) end of the lagoon next year. Hopefully, the deeper, cooler water from the dredging will reduce the likelihood of reoccurrences of toxic algae in the future.
